Staff at Hafnarfjörður's nurseries receive a 75% discount on nursery fees, or approximately 25,000 kr. per month. The discount applies to the tuition fee, not to meals (morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack). Join in!

Staff receive a fitness allowance and have the flexibility to choose different options. In addition, staff who choose to use an environmentally friendly mode of transport to and from work can apply for a special travel allowance. Join in!
Purchases and terms
Hafnarfjörður is one of the municipalities that pays its staff above the collective bargaining agreement, and furthermore, the basic salaries of its staff were increased from 1 February 2023 in line with comparable positions within the municipality. Join us!
Support for vocational training

Shortening of the working week
A full working week reduction (36 working hours instead of 40) has been introduced in all of Hafnarfjörður's nurseries and applies to all staff.
