Vegetable gardens
Vegetable gardens are a great opportunity to grow your own vegetables in the summer.
The Hafnarfjörður vegetable gardens are for all residents, both families and individuals, for a small fee. You need to bring your own vegetables and other materials for cultivation, but you will have access to water for irrigation.
The allotments are located in Öldutún and Víðistaðir. In Öldutún, 10 m² plots are available, while in Víðistaðir, 10 m² raised beds are available.
Registration opens on 30th April and allocations will begin as soon as the ground has been prepared, but for this to happen, five days without rain are required.
