In Hafnarfjörður, two youth centres operate. On the one hand Hamarin, activities for 16-25 year-olds and on the other hand Music and Motor with activities for 13–25-year-olds . The internal operations of the houses differ from one another but share the same values and are based on the principle that the young people are the driving force behind the work.
