200 children sing together
On Saturday, 12th March, children's choirs from Hafnarfjörður will perform at the Hafnarfjörður Children's Choir Festival in Víðistaðakirkja. Around 200 children from Hafnarfjörður are taking part in the festival, which is being held for the 19th time this year.
On Saturday, 12th March, children's choirs from Hafnarfjörður will perform at their annual choir festival, which is called Hafnarfjörður Children's Choir Festival and takes place at Víðistaðakirkja. Around 200 children from Hafnarfjörður will take part in the tournament, which is being held for the 19th time this year.
The 2016 Hafnarfjörður Children's Choir Festival will be held in Víðistaðakirkja on Saturday, 12th March. Six children's choirs in Hafnarfjörður will each sing individually, as well as performing together. The choirs taking part are:
- Children's Choir of Hafnarfjörður Church
- Children's Choir of Víðistaðakirkja
- The Little Choir of Öldutúnsskóli
- Áslandsskóli Choir
- Öldutúnsskóli Choir
- Youth Choir of Hafnarfjörður Church
The choirs' programme features a diverse selection of songs. The concert begins at 1 pm and is open to all interested. Admission is free.
