850 Hafnarfjörður teenagers had fun together!
Up to 850 Hafnarfjörður teenagers came together and had a fantastic time at this year's Junior High School Party, held on 7 February.
The evening began with DJ Thekidstm from Hvaleyrarskóli and DJ Younder from Ölduselsskóli providing the music. Aron Can, Séra Bjössi and DJ Dóra Júlía then kept the party going. Háski, a former pupil from Hafnarfjörður, came as a surprise guest and Herra Hnetusmjör was the last to take to the stage, and the party reached a new high.
The Junior High School Party is a dance where pupils from all the junior high schools in Hafnarfjörður come together and have fun! It was held in the sports hall on Strandgata, and the party went on until 10 p.m.

Young people are leading the way
Young people from all the town's schools are preparing for the primary school festival. They decide on the theme and musical acts themselves and take great pride in making sure the atmosphere is great — and it was, as the photos show. This year's theme was Casino, and the primary schools compete annually in a decorating competition. Hraunvallar school was the winner.
The heads of the leisure centres oversee the work and ensure that what the young people have requested is carried out. A dynamic group of young people then handled the evening's presentation. Andrea L. Hafdal Kristinsdóttir, Elisabeth Rós Sverrisdóttir and Berger Heiðrún Ingólfsdóttir from Setbergskóli presented the first part, and were followed by Elma Rún Jónsdóttir from Áslandsskóli and Embla Guðríður Arnarsdóttir from Öldutúnsskóli.
