Sunday 12 April, 1 pm–3 pm Hafnarborg and GETA offer Multilingual art workshop where dreamcatchers will be created, under the guidance of the artists Mariana Samarska and Anne Rombach. The languages of the workshop are Icelandic, Ukrainian, English and German.

Come and join a creative and calming art workshop where we will create unique dreamcatchers from natural and varied materials. All materials will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring items from their own collections – such as feathers, fabrics or found objects – to weave into their creation and make it even more personal.

Every dreamcatcher carries something wild with it – not just for decoration but for protection, guidance and inspiration. Let spirits and bad dreams pass by…

The workshop takes place on the ground floor of the museum and is open to all age groups. No previous artistic experience is required, but children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. As always, participation in workshops as well as admission to the exhibiThe museum offers free admission to visitors.

In my opinion is a series of events that aims to increase access to Hafnarborg for people from diverse backgrounds by welcoming visitors in different languages. The event is a collaboration between Hafnarborg and the organisation GETU, which, through a variety of events and social activities, seeks to promote inclusion and positive multiculturalism. The project is supported by the museum fund.
