Tender opening for the construction of a care home at Sólvang
Yesterday, tenders were opened for the construction of a care home at Sólvang in Hafnarfjörður. Tenders were received from four parties: Ístak, Eykt, Jáverk and Munck Íslandi. The lowest bid amounted to kr. 1,460,336,306. The project's cost estimate was kr. 1,515,686,540.
On Tuesday, 28th March, tenders were opened for the construction of a care home at Sólvang in Hafnarfjörður. The tenders were opened at 11 a.m. at the premises of the Environmental and Planning Services of the City of Hafnarfjörður at Norðurhellu 2. In mid-March, the City of Hafnarfjörður invited tenders from contractors for the construction of a care home at Sólvang in Hafnarfjörður, a three-storey building with a basement beneath part of the structure, as well as a connecting corridor linking the new building to the existing Sólvang premises. The building is approximately 3,900 m². The project includes the construction of the building, complete with full interior and exterior finishes, as well as site works. The completion date is 31 August 2018.

The cost estimate amounted to kr. 1,515,686,540. The meeting members were asked if they had any reservations or comments on the tender documents. No comments were received.
The project board for the construction of the nursing home will meet on Thursday, 6th April, and will then decide on the bids.
