The archery club Hrói Höttur has joined the ranks of Hafnarfjörður's sports clubs.

The newest sports club in the array of Hafnarfjörður clubs is the Archery Club Hrói Höttur. The club was founded on 3rd September and the first course began in the sports hall of Hraunvallar school in December.  This is the first archery club in the capital region to have a facility in a sports hall, and there appears to be great growth in archery in this country.

The City of Hafnarfjörður and the archery club Hrói Höttur signed a partnership agreement today. The Hafnarfjörður Sports Association allocates the club training slots, and its members are of all ages. Those aged 18 and under, as well as participants aged 67 and over, can use the Hafnarfjörður leisure grant. Participants, of whom there can be a maximum of 8 per course, are loaned all equipment by the club.  Each course lasts 10 weeks, and the current course in January has participants ranging from 14 years to just over 40.
