Kaldárselsvegur – closures due to roadworks
Resurfacing between roundabouts on Kaldársel Road, from Sörla Square to the new roundabout at Brekkuás/Klettahlíð, is scheduled for Friday, 3rd May. Signage will be put up in the area. The extent of the work and, therefore, the length of the closure will depend in part on the weather.

Due to upcoming asphalting works on Kaldárselsveg between 22 April and 6 May, there will be disruption to traffic in the area due to closures of road sections as marked on the overview map. Traffic disruption due to the closures will occur on the following streets, although at different times:
- Kaldárselsvegur
- Elliðavatnsvegur
- Brekkuás
- Rocky slope
First closure – from Sörlatorg to the roundabout at Brekkuás/Klettahlíð on Friday, 3 May

The construction site will not be closed in its entirety at the same time, but further information about the phased closures will be announced closer to the time of the works.
