Christmas is fast approaching and during Advent, residents are encouraged to decorate their homes and brighten up the short days. On St. Lucia's Day, prizes will be awarded for the best-decorated houses, the best-decorated business, and the best-decorated street in Hafnarfjörður.
Residents of Hafnarfjörður and friends of the town are encouraged to put on their big Christmas glasses at the beginning of December and send in a tip about the house in Hafnarfjörður that they think stands out in this year's Christmas decorations. The Culture and Tourism Committee of the City of Hafnarfjörður will choose the best-decorated house.
