Master plan amendment and new detailed plan

Proposal for an amendment to the 2013-2025 Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður and a new detailed plan for Leiðarendi, a cave in the uplands of Hafnarfjörður

At its meeting on 8 January 2020, the Hafnarfjörður Town Council approved a proposal for an amendment to the 2013-2025 Master Plan for Hafnarfjörður and that it be advertised in accordance with Article 36, paragraph 1 of Act No. 123/2010. The town council also approved advertising a proposal for a new detailed plan in parallel with the aforementioned amendment to the general plan.

The amendment changes the boundaries of the master plan in accordance with the ruling of the Uninhabited Lands Commission, but the said national land is within the municipal boundaries of Hafnarfjörður.

The new detailed plan is defined by Bláfjallavegur and covers the access, car park and service building for Leiðarendi, a cave in the uplands of Hafnarfjörður.

The detailed plan proposal and its report, together with the draft amendment to the master plan, will be on display at the Hafnarfjörður Service Centre 6 and at the Department of Environment and Planning at Norðurhellu 2 from 07.02.2020 to 20.03.2020. The amendment proposal to the general plan will also be on display at the Planning Authority, Borgartún 7b, 105 Reykjavík. See the proposals below:
