Closure of services and activities for people in a vulnerable position

The Municipality of Hafnarfjörður has
make a decision on the closure of the council's facilities that provide services
services and activities for people who are
in a vulnerable position or with underlying conditions. The National Police Commissioner has
a state of public emergency was declared in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer due to
coronavirus (COVID-19) and the decision is taken with this change in mind. 

All parties involved will
will be notified as soon as it is possible to resume operations. All other
Services of the Department of Family and Child Affairs remain uninterrupted, i.e. all home care services, support services,
Services in residential estates and in homes. The department works according to clear procedures and
is in close cooperation with the local authority's emergency management and civil defence.

A visitation ban has been imposed at the Hrafnista home in
in Hafnarfjörður and at the care home on Sólvang. A decision has been made about
to end the day centre at Sólvang. The day centre at Hrafnista is open, as well as
the day training at Drafnarhúsi. The situation will be reassessed daily and announcements and
Information sent to the relevant party.
