Hafnarfjörður Library Podcast – varied and informative

News

The new podcast from Hafnarfjörður Library is fundamentally intended to showcase all the material that the library staff find interesting. A team of staff are behind the episodes, which will undoubtedly be varied and informative.

New podcast Hafnarfjörður Library has the fundamentally good purpose of bringing to the attention all material that the library staff finds interesting and is likely to generate discussion and coverage of interesting topics and issues, including those related to the library's collection, events organised by the library or other goings-on around the library and in Hafnarfjörður. This is a new and exciting addition to the library's services, and the plan is for borrowers to be able to book a time slot and use the space to record their own audio material. A team of staff is behind the episodes, which will undoubtedly be varied and informative. Interested parties can also request coverage of a specific topic.

The first two episodes are about football books

Two episodes have already been released. One is an introduction to the podcast and the other is about football books, but in recent terms, the Hafnarfjörður Library has been working on acquiring more and a wider variety of football books for its visitors. Information specialist Halldór Marteinsson, one of the editors of Rauðu djöflarnir and Ljónavarpurinn, has been in charge of this project, and he is also the presenter of these first episodes. There will be two episodes about football books, in which Halldór will speak with authors about their football books and football writing in general. The first episode is out now, and the second will be released next week.
