Small lighthouses have been set up this summer in Víðistaðatún, where they are used for traffic and access control. Visitors to Strandgatan have also noticed these lighthouses, which add a pleasant touch to the surroundings. The concept for the lighthouses and their designer is the artist Ingvar Björn.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that the grass plaiting found on the Nordic playground by the pond has been cut so that the plait and cord are clearly visible, allowing this old craft to be fully appreciated.
