Let's show some responsibility... even when swimming in the good weather.

It is worth emphasising, particularly now that the sun is shining brightly, that the swimming pools of Hafnarfjörður are still open with restrictions and the 2-metre rule is in effect between individuals in all areas of the pools; in the swimming pools, hot tubs, changing rooms and everywhere where people gather.

Ásvallalaug and Hafnarfjörður Swimming Pool are open this weekend, but with these restrictions. Suðurbæjarlaug remains closed due to construction work. Markings for capacity limits and the 2-metre rule will be prominently displayed in the pool area, by the hot tubs and saunas. Hand sanitiser is readily available and touchpoints are cleaned regularly. Some lockers in the changing rooms have been taken out of service.

Í Ásvallalaug cannot be more than 100 guests at any time. The steam bath is open, but the maximum number of guests is three at a time.

Í Hafnarfjörður Swimming Pool cannot be more than 32 guests. Sauna cabins are overcrowded, as it is difficult to maintain a distance due to their small size.

Children born in 2005 or later are excluded from these figures. Visitors can monitor the number of people in the pools in real time on the swimming pool websites.

We therefore appeal to the residents and friends of Hafnarfjörður to show understanding for this and to fully comply with the restrictions in place.
After all, we are all civil defence!
