Slopewaxing the sledges for winter hibernation

News

As of today, Wednesday, 4th November, the bouncy castles in Víðistaðatún and on Óla Run tún will be deflated and put away for the winter.

From today, the bouncy castles in Víðistaðatún and Óla Run tún will be deflated and put into storage for the winter. The plan was to keep the bellows inflated until the frosts set in, but in light of the tightened public health measures, for safety reasons, and because the bellows in Víðistaðatún has been damaged, it has been decided to deflate them and prepare them for the winter.

The bouncy castles have been very popular this summer and a popular meeting place for families, children and young people. As spring arrives once more, and before we know it, our beautiful and colourful balloons will be inflated again. Until then, we encourage Hafnarfjörður families, young people and children to make use of other opportunities for outdoor activities, socialising and entertainment.
