The Christmas Village is a local event that encapsulates the Christmas spirit in Hafnarfjörður, and a visit to the Christmas Village, along with its museums, shops, cafés and restaurants, is an important and essential part of many people's Christmas preparations. Every year during Advent, a large and diverse group of artists performs in the Christmas village and elsewhere in Hafnarfjörður, presenting all kinds of acts.
