The City of Hafnarfjörður and Sóltún Ageing Services Ltd. today signed an agreement for the operation of a specialised day care service at Sólvangur. The agreement covers the operation of twelve specialised day care places at Sólvangur and aims to provide older people with dementia with specific services and to support their carers through the operation of a specialised day care service.

Sóltún Elderly Care Services is today the operator of a nursing home.

Solvangi. A magnificent new 60-bed care home was officially opened on 17 July 2019. and thereby replaced the old Sólvang. At the same time, a decision was made
to increase the number of nursing home places at Sólvang, in addition to the 60 places that are in
the new building and to begin work on the old one and carry out significant refurbishments

The agreement was approved by the town council on 9 December.
