Property Tax 2021 – Assessment Notices Available

The 2021 property tax bills are now available on
Our pages and on Iceland.is . The receipts show the amounts of property tax,
land rental, water, sewerage and refuse collection charges. It also states
Property valuation and information about the owners and payers of the fees.

Ten payment dates throughout the year – due 30 days later.
Due date

There are ten deadlines for property taxes in Hafnarfjörður in 2021.
The first payment is due on 1 February, and thereafter on the first of each month until the 1st.
November. In cases where the total amount of property taxes for the year is kr.
For 25,000 or less, the full amount is collected on the first payment due date of the year, on the 1st.
February. The due date for property taxes is 30 days after the payment date.

Reduction or abolition of property tax for the elderly and
disabled pensioner
