The Transport Authority has released three educational films on road safety, which have the important aim of promoting a positive and safe driving culture so that everyone gets home safe and sound. The films are all subtitled in Icelandic, English and Polish. Stay safe on the road!

An educational film about electric bikes

The popularity of electric scooters has increased significantly in recent times here in the country, as they are a fantastic mode of transport when used correctly. They are classed as bicycles and are subject to the same rules, with the exception that they must not be ridden on the carriageway. This video covers important points regarding their use and safety.

An educational film about child safety in the car
Every year, incidents occur on the roads here where a special safety device prevents serious injuries to children. This video covers the important points regarding child safety in the car. Children's safety is our responsibility – no car journey is so short that we can make an exception. 

An educational film about lighting equipment

Vehicles with their lights on are much more visible in traffic; they also illuminate the reflective clothing of pedestrians and cyclists. This video covers various aspects of driving with lights on and the importance of having all the lights on the car switched on.
