Christmas Heart of Hafnarfjörður at Bæjarbíó during Advent
Bæjarbíó and the Mathiesen Institute hold an important place in the hearts of the town's residents and friends of Hafnarfjörður who attend events and seek upliftment there during Advent. Various regular features are on offer that regulars can rely on year after year, but new innovations are also introduced, as is the way of the operators. This year, Bæjarbíó is presenting the Jólahjarta Hafnarfjarðar music festival in all its glory, which has a similar format to other Bæjarbíó music festivals – in a heated, beautifully decorated big top in the back garden. There will be troubadours, DJs and singalongs to entertain the crowds, and the much-acclaimed lobster soup from Tilveran will be on sale. Entry to the area is free.
