FKA's annual Christmas stroll took place in Hafnarfjörður.
The FKA's annual Christmas stroll 2021 took place in the Christmas town of Hafnarfjörður at the end of last week. The Christmas stroll began with mulled wine at the book café on the North Shore, and afterwards, the FKA women made the most of the time, soaking up the festive spirit in the Christmas town, which is looking its very best at the moment. The members spent time together, visited fellow members in Hafnarfjörður, went shopping, enjoyed their time together and the food, and received a presentation and a wonderful reception in the shops, with refreshments and special offers. It was deemed a fitting end to the Christmas stroll to finish at Hellisgerði, where the Mayor, Rósa Guðbjartsdóttir, welcomed the group with a few brief words and light refreshments.

The fun and historical connection of the Christmas Village and FKA
It can actually be said that The idea for the Christmas Village in Hafnarfjörður originated during the course „Wealth in the Power of Women”. Anna Sigurborg Ólafsdóttir, at the time the Director of the Service and Development Department for the City of Hafnarfjörður, attended the course and her business idea for a Christmas Village in Hafnarfjörður took flight in 2003. Anna Sigurborg is therefore the original mastermind behind the Christmas Village, which has since grown and flourished and has now become an essential part of the Advent season for many. Andri Ómarsson, project manager for cultural and marketing affairs at the City of Hafnarfjörður, welcomed the group to Thorsplan and told them the story of the Christmas Village in Hafnarfjörður, which today stretches its tentacles quite far and has become the source of the adventure land in Hellisgerði, with an ice rink set to be added to the Christmas village in the coming days.
Hafnarfjörður warmly thanks the FKA women for visiting the Christmas town.
