Four amusement parks in Hafnarfjörður in two years

Ever since the decision by the local authorities in Hafnarfjörður to purchase and install a bungee trampoline was made in the spring of 2019, there has been a desire to set up trampolines in more places in the town and fulfil the wishes of many residents. A bungee trampoline in Víðistaðatún was opened in the summer of 2019, and one in ÓlaRun tún a year later, on 17 June 2020. A new bouncy castle in Stekkjarhraun, a short distance from the Hlíðarendi nursery school, was opened on 16 June 2021, and later that autumn a new castle was opened on the grounds of Hraunvallaskóli.

What is a crash pad?

An inflatable ball pit is a sunken, inflatable trampoline that is level with the ground, designed for people of all ages to enjoy and play in. The bouncy castles are open from 9 am to 10 pm every day of the week during the summer, and from 9 am to 6 pm in spring and autumn until the ground freezes. The bouncy castles are deflated during the frosty months. All „bouncers“ are kindly asked to have a fantastic time, but to do so carefully and in accordance with the rules. And remember, the bouncy castles are a shared resource for all residents of Hafnarfjörður, so it is in everyone's best interest to treat them with care. We can only achieve this together.
