Bara Tala Challenge
Let's improve our Icelandic together in the kindergartens of Hafnarfjörður!
The Bara tala challenge is for staff at Hafnarfjörður's kindergartens who have a mother tongue other than Icelandic. The aim of the project is to support staff in improving their Icelandic skills, increase their confidence in communication, and create more opportunities to use Icelandic in their daily work.
Participants receive free access to the Icelandic language learning app 'Bara tala' to learn at their own pace and at a time that suits them. With regular use, participants can build up their vocabulary, improve their Icelandic skills and monitor their own progress.
The challenge will run throughout September. Participants complete exercises in the smart app and collect points for their participation. At the end of the period, a final event will be held where all participants will receive a certificate of participation. Prizes will also be awarded to those who have collected the most points in the challenge.
We encourage all staff to take part in the challenge and contribute to strengthening the Icelandic language together in the nurseries of Hafnarfjörður.
