A new chapter begins – the opening ceremony of the Hafnarfjörður Library

The wait is finally over! The library opens

 

New and magnificent Hafnarfjörður Library opens on the 2nd floor in Firði – and we can't wait to welcome you. The museum itself opens on Wednesday, 5th August at 9 a.m., and the opening ceremony is a little over a week later. This is an invitation to that ceremony!

Every library holds thousands of stories. Now a new story begins, that of the over century-old Hafnarfjörður Library in its new and splendid premises. The opening is not just about a new building, but about a new chapter in the town's cultural life. Come and see the bright and beautiful library, meet the staff and experience a new meeting place for everyone who loves books, knowledge, events and pleasant company.

Where? Hafnarfjörður Library, 2nd floor in the Firði wing.

When? Thursday, 13th August from 16:00-18:00 (the museum is open until 19:00)

What? Special opening celebration (open in Firði until 7 p.m.)
