The Romantic and the Author of the Lovely Ása Marin is visiting with the book Safe haven in Eskifjörður, which is a hilarious romantic Christmas story. One day, Kristín has had enough: work and a third shift are getting the better of her, and she unexpectedly sets off east to the fjords to visit a good friend and get her head straight. Her husband is desperate to get her back home, but a mountain-like man from the Eastfjords turns up and complicates matters.

The Advent in November brings us closer to Christmas step by step, one page at a time. We will have an author visiting us every Friday in November, where we will introduce exciting new books in the run-up to Christmas. On The Countdown, we shine a light on all sorts of works and enjoy the flora of Icelandic literature – and of course, it's wonderful to listen to a bit of literary genius and then pop over to the Christmas Village to get into the festive spirit!
