• 0708061 – ÍBH, request for a review of Article 7 of the cooperation agreement

  A letter dated 9 August from the board of ÍBH was presented, requesting discussions with the City of Hafnarfjörður regarding a review of clause 7 of the cooperation agreement.

  The Town Council instructs the Sports Officer to compile information on the matter and summons him to the next Town Council meeting.

• 0708031 – Sewerage works, grant.

  A letter, dated 8 August, from the Ministry of the Environment was presented, providing information on the settlement of a grant to the City of Hafnarfjörður for sewerage works.

• 0707116 – Presentation on the MSÍ Environment Committee.

  A letter, undated, from the MSÍ Environmental Committee was submitted, requesting cooperation regarding problems arising from off-road riding by motorcyclists.

  The Town Council agrees to refer the matter to the Environment Committee for further consideration.

• 0707064 – Glitvellir 41, request for sale.

  A letter dated 6th July from Bárður Á. Gíslason was presented, requesting permission to sell the property at Glitvelli 41.

  The Town Council rejects the request, with reference to the terms of the lease agreement.

• 0706206 – Keilir Golf Club, driving route to the practice area.

  The matter concerning the access road to the Keilis training ground was referred from the Executive Council to the Council for resolution.

  A letter from the Association of Icelandic Municipalities regarding the entry into force of the new law on road construction charges on 1 July was presented.

  The Town Council instructs the Finance and Administration Department to implement the proposals on plot prices and the rules for the fee schedule.

• 0708063 – Organisational chart of the City of Hafnarfjörður and changes to the structure of the Finance and Administration Department.

  A new organisational chart for the City of Hafnarfjörður was presented for information, showing the administrative structure, its division into 5 departments and the main responsibilities of each department.

  A request for the cancellation of the plot lease at Hraunvangur 7 in Hafnarfjörður was presented again. The municipal lawyer attended the meeting and presented his opinion on the matter.

  The Town Council concur with the opinion of the Town Solicitor and reject the request.

• 0708069 – Bus company, the "free bus" project.

  A memorandum was presented from the Managing Director of Strætó bs., Reynir Jónsson, regarding the pilot project „Free Bus Travel“ for sixth-form and university students during the 2007-2008 winter.

  The Town Council approves participation on the basis of the existing memorandum from the CEO of Strætó and refers the portion of the funding due this year to the budget review.

• 0706158 – Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður, amendment to the motorsport area

  Lögð fram tillaga að breytingu á Aðalskipulagi Hafnarfjarðar 2005 – 2025 hvað varðar raflínur og strengi á akstursíþróttasvæði í Kapelluhrauni sem skipulags- og byggingarráð vísaði til afgreiðslu í bæjarstjórn.%0D%0D%0D

  Lögð fram tillaga úr skipulags- og byggingarráði frá 14. ágúst sl. um að leggja á dagsektir vegna þess að lokaúttekt hefur ekki farið fram á fasteigninni nr. 2 við Þrastarás.%0D

  The Town Board, on behalf of the Hafnarfjörður Town Council, resolves that if the building supervisor does not apply for the final inspection of the house at Þrastarás 2 by 31 August, the provisions of section 1 of article 57 of the Planning and Building Act regarding daily fines shall be applied.

• SB040377 – Minutes of the Planning and Building Officer

  Minutes from the planning and building officer's disposal meetings of 18.07.07 were presented, 25.07.07, 01.08.07 and 08.08.07, but the minutes were referred from the Planning and Building Committee on 14 August to the Town Council for final disposal.

  The Town Council, acting on behalf of the Municipal Council, approves the submitted minutes.

• 0708051 – Water export, enquiry about purchasing water

  A letter, dated 14 August, from Iceland Water International was presented.

  The Mayor, the Harbour Master and the Head of the Water Supply were tasked with continuing to work on the matter.

  A letter dated 9 August from L 94 ehf., registration no. 640205-1720, was presented, requesting a plot of land for a building that will house a shopping centre, a so-called „outlet“.

  The Town Council agrees to refer the matter to the Planning and Building Department for comment.

• 0708014 – Norðurflug ehf., application for a plot of land.

  A letter dated 2 August, from Norðurflug ehf., was presented, requesting a meeting with representatives of the City of Hafnarfjörður regarding the future location of Norðurflug ehf.

  The Town Council agrees to refer the matter to the Planning and Building Department for further processing.

• 0708005 – South Coast Heat, application for a plot for distribution stations in Hellnahrauni III.

  A letter, dated 31 July, from Hitaveita Suðurnesja, registration no. 680475-0169, requesting that plots no. 3 at Dranghellu, 14, 20 and 38 at Straumhellu and 2 at Dverghellu be allocated for the company's distribution substations.

  The Town Council agrees to refer the matter to the Planning and Building Department for comment.

• 0707195 – Skeljungur hf, application for a plot of land for a petrol station.

  An application was submitted by Skeljungur hf. on 27 July for a plot of land for a petrol station in the City of Hafnarfjörður, south of the Reykjanesbraut.

  The Town Council agrees to refer the application to the Planning and Building Department for further processing.

  A letter was submitted, dated 18 July, from Ingibjörg Aldís Ólafsdóttir, requesting a grant for a singing performance at care homes in Hafnarfjörður.

  The Town Council approves a grant of kr. 72,000, to be taken from item 21-815.
