  1. General presentations

    • 0909102 – Tree leaflet, presentation

      Berglind Guðmundsdóttir will review the cost estimate for publishing a tree booklet featuring the town's notable trees. Previously, at the committee's meeting on 16 September.

      The Environment Committee / Sd 21 proposes that information and photographs of notable trees in the town's area be collected and placed on the City of Hafnarfjörður's website. This should be followed by the publication of a booklet.

  • 0909225 – Environmental Agency and Municipal Nature Conservation Committees, Annual Meeting 2009

    A meeting notice dated 25 September 2009 from the Environmental Agency regarding the annual meeting of the Environmental Agency and municipal nature conservation committees was presented. This is a statutory meeting to be held on 6 November.

  • 0909193 – Environment Forum 9-10 October 2009

    The agenda for the environmental conference, to be held at Hotel Nordica on the 9th and 10th of October, has been presented. Sustainable development will be the main theme of the conference this time.

  • 0809005 – Mobility Week

    A review will be given of the successful Transport Week, which was held from 16th to 22nd September and in which the City of Hafnarfjörður participated.

    The Environment Committee/Sd 21 would like to thank everyone who took part in Transport Week, 16th-22nd September, and especially the Sufi and the Cycle Sprint for their involvement in the successful cycling day.

  • 0909237 – Citizens' Assembly 2009

    The Environment Committee/SD 21 requests that the Planning and Building Council begin preparations for a citizens' assembly, focusing on the outline plan for the upland, the town centre development plan, and the harbour authority's proposals for a new harbour west of Straumsvík.

    The representative of the Independence Party believes that it is not within the remit of the Environment Committee/sd21 to encourage a citizens' assembly with regard to the timing and financial position of the City of Hafnarfjörður.;

  • 0909239 – Areas under neighbourhood protection in the town's land

    Berglind Guðmundsdóttir, landscape architect at the Department of Planning and Building, will present the conservation areas designated in the town's master plan. She will explain how they are defined and classified.
