  The chairman reported on a meeting between himself and the harbour master with representatives of the Ministry of Industry regarding the forthcoming renewal of contracts with Rio Tinto in Straumsvík, as the current contracts expire in 2014.

  The Port Board agrees to appoint the Chairman of the Port Board, Eyjólfur Sæmundsson, Kristinn Andersen and Má Sveinbjörnsson to negotiations with representatives of Rio Tinto regarding a new agreement with the Port of Hafnarfjörður, to replace the current agreement between the parties.The Harbour Board also requests that the Mayor take part in the discussions.;
