  The City Centre Committee welcomes the proposal and believes that this idea is well aligned with the city centre's development plan and will enhance life in the city centre.;

• 0906237 – City Centre - Green Thor's Plan

  The Work Club's ideas were discussed regarding the temporary turfing of Thor's Square, with the aim of increasing life in the town centre and creating an outdoor recreational area for the town's residents.

  The committee considers this to be well in keeping with the ideas set out in the city centre's development plan, as well as the objectives for utilising the square as a multi-purpose area.
  

  The committee recommends to the Executive Board that the matter be examined in more detail with a view to final implementation, so that construction can begin as soon as possible.
