  1. General presentations

    • 1001125 – Cultural agreements and cultural grants 2010

      On 28 January 2009, the proposal by María Kristín Gylfadóttir, representative of the Independence Party on the Family Council, was referred to the Culture and Tourism Committee for its opinion.  The proposal was that applications for cultural agreements for the year 2010 should be advertised. Apologies are offered for the fact that the review has not been sent to the Family Council sooner.The Culture and Tourism Committee has decided that the same rules will apply to grants for cultural associations that have received a cultural agreement and to cultural grants in general, provided that these grants are now for one year only, as in 2009.  The Cultural and Tourism Officer is to send the rules on grants for cultural activities to the Family Council. Decision on the allocation to cultural societies deferred.

    • 1001244 – Leikfélag Hafnarfjarðar, presentation on activities and discussion on housing issues.

      Þráinn Óskarsson, chairman of the Leikfélag Hafnarfjarðar, and Lárus Vilhjálmsson from LH attended the meeting.

      Discussion on the operational basis of the Drama Society and its premises.;

    • 0911529 – Memorial to composer Friðrik Bjarnason

      A submission from the Karlakórinn Þröstur Choir. Additional information.

      The cultural and tourism representative has been tasked with working on the matter, together with the planning authorities and other relevant parties.;

    • 1001242 – Walking route map of the Reykjanes Peninsula

      A submission from Reynir Ingibjartsson on the matter was presented.

      The Cultural and Tourism Officer was tasked with investigating the project's total cost. The motion was approved.;

    • 1001243 – Bright Days 2010

      A discussion about whether to hold the Bright Days on 3-6 June.

      It has been decided to hold the Bright Days from 3 to 6 June. Seaman's Day will then, as in previous years, be part of the festival.;

    • 0909221 – The Christmas Village 2009

      A report on the 2009 Christmas Village was presented.

      The Christmas Village was discussed as a success. The committee thanks the staff of the Christmas Village for a job well done.;

    • 1001256 – Appointment to the Board of the Capital Region Tourism Association.

      The committee appoints the cultural and tourism officer as the representative of the City of Hafnarfjörður to the board.;
