    • 0712029 – The Council of Elders of Hafnarfjörður

      Representatives of the Council of Elders attended the meeting. The budget items relating to the affairs of senior citizens were reviewed; there are no changes from the previous year. $line$The Chair of the Council for Older People went over the main priorities in the council's work.

      The Town Council thanks the Council of Elders for their visit and the good communication.

    • 1112029 – Sorpa bs, Business Plan 2012

      The operating plan of Sorpa bs, submitted on 28 November, was presented.

    • Budget for Educational Services 2012

      A proposal from the Education Committee regarding regulations and reimbursement for children in day-care was referred to the Town Council at its meeting on 12 December.

      The Town Council refers the proposal for a fee schedule to the Municipal Council. Representatives of the Independence Party refer to the minutes of their representatives on the Education Council.

      A response was presented to the second part of the question regarding recruitment. The Finance Manager attended the meeting and reported on discussions about the water charge. The Human Resources Manager attended the meeting and reported on the responses regarding recruitment.

    • 1111379 – Einhella 6, Deed of Transfer

      Pétur Þórarinsson, on behalf of Haghúsa Ltd, requests to relinquish the plot Einhellu 6.$line$L. A report from the Director of Planning and Building and the Finance Director has been submitted.

      The Town Board confirms the above-mentioned waiver for its part and proposes to the Town Council: “The Town Council of Hafnarfjörður approves the waiver of the plot Einhelli 6.“

    • 1112116 – Kaplakriki concerts, temporary licence

      A request from Valdimar Geir Halldórsson, on behalf of the radio station Xinn 977, regarding an extension for a concert at Kaplakriki on Tuesday, 20th December until 01:00.

      The town council gives a positive recommendation for the licence and instructs the town solicitor to respond to the report from the Capital Area Police.

    • 1110031 – Hafnarfjörður Gymnastics Club Fencing Department, contract

      A contract was presented for the hire of timeslots at Kaplakriki for the FH fencing department.

      Action deferred. The mayor has been tasked with obtaining further information.

    • 1106059 – Disabled people, issues, ownership and rental of property

      Taken up again. The Financial Director reported on agreements with the Equalisation Fund's property fund regarding accommodation for the takeover of matters concerning disabled people.

      The Town Council agrees to enter into a contract for the purchase of premises for the takeover of services for disabled people on the basis of the available information, and refers the matter to the Town Council for final approval in the 2012 budget. Furthermore, the Town Council authorises the Mayor to sign the necessary documents regarding the purchase, including loan agreements.

    • 1112124 – The Harbour Council of the Ageing Association

      The minutes of the association's representative council meeting, held on 8 December, were presented for information.

    • 1110068 – Klukkuvellir 20-26, plot application

      The application of Brynja Housing Fund of the Disabled People's Association for the aforementioned plot is reconsidered. The Planning and Building Officer is favourable to the application.

      The Town Council proposes to the Borough Council: “The Borough Council agrees to allocate the plots at Klukkuvellir 20-26 to Brynja, the Housing Fund of the Disabled Persons“ Association."
