  1. Part A of building permits

    • 1705287 – Stapahraun 11-12, alteration

      Kaffibrennsla Hafnarfjarðar is applying on 18.05.2017 for an extension to the gas storage, a silo on the roof, and a shelter wall, in accordance with drawings by Ívar Arnar Guðmundsson dated 11.04.2016. The stamp of the Capital Region Fire and Rescue is on the drawings dated 17.05.2017.

      The building control officer approves the application in accordance with the Buildings Act 160/2010.

    • 1705374 – Miðvangur 87, building permit

      On 23.05.2017, Halldór Björgvinsson and Jóna Guðrún Elísdóttir applied to remove the glass walls in the extension and replace them with one window, along with cladding the exterior with Megg cladding from Þ. Þorgrímsson. The alterations are in accordance with drawings by Rúnar Ingi Guðjónsson, dated 29.04.2017. The application is accompanied by the consent of the owners of the house at Miðvang 87-89.

      The building control officer approves the application in accordance with the Buildings Act 160/2010.

    • 1705057 – 21 Austurgata, building permit

      To be taken up again.
      On 4 May 2017, Guðjón Rafnsson and Hlín Pétursdóttir applied to add an entrance door on the first floor to the west, facing Austurgata. The door is in keeping with the building's previous appearance. A favourable opinion from the Monuments Officer is available. In conjunction with the changes to the front door, alterations will be made to the internal layout of the ground floor. The changes are in accordance with drawings by Svannlaugur Sveinsson, dated 01.04.2017.

    • 1704053 – Helluhraun 4, alteration

      RAG import – export is applying on 5 April 2017 for alterations – moving a door on the eastern slope and altering the wall layout in accordance with drawings by Guðjón Rafnsson, dated 8 November 2016. New drawings dated 18.05.2017 were received on 24.05.2017.

      The building control officer approves the application in accordance with the Buildings Act 160/2010.

    • 1701308 – Hvaleyrarbraut 29, 010203, as-built drawing

      J. and E. Ltd and Hörður Guðlaugsson submitted test drawings on 20 January 2017. An existing loft has been drawn in.

    • 1705361 – Smyrlahraun 24, survey drawings for a declaration of unit division

      Páll R. Valdimarsson, by letter dated 22.05.2017, applies for approval of as-built drawings for an ownership transfer agreement for the house at 24 Smyrlahraun, in accordance with drawings prepared by Sigurður Þorleifsson in September. 1998, with the plot holder's signature on the attached drawing.

      The case was refused at the planning and building officer's hearing. The plot is unregistered in accordance with the law.

    • 1704368 – Staðarberg 2-4, building permit, building 105

      To be taken up again.
      On 24 April 2017, PHUT ehf. applied for an internal alteration for a new restaurant, in accordance with drawings by Pálmar Kristmundsson dated 11 April 2017.
      New drawings were received on 18 May 2017, along with a stamp from SHS.
      Drawing with a stamp from the Health Authority was received on 23 May 2017.

      The building control officer approves the application in accordance with the Buildings Act 160/2010.

    • 1703338 – Stuðlaskarð 1-7, application for a building permit

      On 21/03/2017, the Building Society of Gylfi and Gunnar requested to build a block of flats in accordance with the drawings by architect Ragnar Magnússon, dated 13/02/2017. New drawings were received on 11/04/2017.

      The building control officer approves the application in accordance with the Buildings Act 160/2010.

    • 1705404 – Einivellir 5, building permit.

      Heimavellir hf. applied on 24 May 2017 for a permit to alter the internal layout of the „laundries“ in the flats, in accordance with drawings by Sigurður Þorvarðarson dated 24 April 2005.

      The building control officer approves the application in accordance with the Buildings Act 160/2010.

    • 1705490 – Hellisgata 16, alteration, space 0102

      The Staff Association of Hafnarfjörður is applying, by application dated 29 May 2017, to convert space 0102 at Hellisgata 16 from offices into a flat.

      Processing delayed, registration form missing.

    • 1705397 – Selhella 6, building permit

      Verkefni ehf. applied on 24 May 2017 to erect a two-storey commercial building, according to drawings by Sigurður Hafsteinsson dated 16 May 2017.

      Action deferred, data insufficient.

    Part B: Organisational Matters

    • 1702440 – Stuðlaberg 70, plot extension

      Heiða Njóla Guðbrandsdóttir and Hrannar Þór Hallgrímsson of Stuðlabergi 70 submitted an application on 21 February 2017, requesting to extend their plot north of the garage, which adjoins the boundary line running north of the property itself.

      The planning and building officer's disposal meeting notes that, according to the survey plan, there is a right of way for traffic at this location. The application is being sent for local consultation.

    • 1705252 – Stekkjarhvammur 10, query regarding town land

      Ragnar Guðmundsson and Svanhildur Magnúsdóttir of Stekkjarhvammi 10 wish to adopt land next to their plot.

      The Planning and Building Officer's meeting approves the application and advises the applicant to contact Environmental and Planning Services regarding an agreement for the matter.

    • 1705508 – Helgafell, film shooting

      By email dated 29 May, Emil Morávek requests permission on behalf of Gullslottis ehf to film in Helgafell, in accordance with the attached plan. The filming dates are 24–26 July.

      As the site is located within the Reykjanes National Park, the Environmental Agency issues a permit for filming at the location. However, the Municipality of Hafnarfjörður draws attention to the fact that, according to the available archaeological survey, archaeological remains are recorded at Gvendarsel. These are the remains of a settlement – and stone walls – believed to be the remains of the so-called Gvendarsel, after which Gvendarselshæð is named. Furthermore, the area in question is within a buffer zone for a water protection area, and the Health Surveillance Authority for the Hafnarfjörður and Kópavogur area must therefore be contacted regarding the water protection.

    • 1705511 – Krýsuvík, Seltún, space for a soup van.

      F&C Ltd, Fífuvellir 28, 221 Hafnarfjörður, is applying for a permit to place a soup van at Seltún from 1 June to 15 September. Opening hours are from 10 am to 8 pm. This is the same soup truck as last summer, but the ownership has changed.

      The planning and building officer's meeting authorises the placement of the soup van for the period in question, but draws attention to the fact that there is no accessible electricity at Seltún.
      The permit is granted on the condition of good stewardship, causing as little disturbance as possible, and that anything disturbed will be put right. As the Krýsuvík area is within the Reykjanes National Park, which is protected under nature conservation law, special care must be taken not to cause pollution, damage or negative environmental impact.

      Please note that the area is located at Seltún, a very active area of volcanic craters and boreholes. The Municipality of Hafnarfjörður accepts no liability for any damage that may result from this activity.
      All rubbish and debris must be removed at the end of the day, and the area left in a satisfactory condition.
