Green message to the management and staff of companies in Hafnarfjörður

The City of Hafnarfjörður has entered into a partnership agreement with Laufið, the first green Icelandic information provider. The agreement includes access to Laufið's software for the city's schools and institutions. In addition, Lauf's sustainability consultants will provide education and general advice to the council's staff on sustainability. At the same time, the City of Hafnarfjörður will provide Lauf with premises for promotional meetings with interested local businesses. A strong emphasis is placed on involving businesses in Hafnarfjörður in this green journey, as environmental issues and sustainability are a collaborative task for the entire community. Laufið offers businesses a practical toolkit that promotes the sustainable development of Icelandic business life. Three promotional meetings have been organised for Hafnarfjörður businesses over the coming weeks at the Pharmacy in Hafnarborg, Strandgata 34:

• Wednesday, November at 9 a.m.
• Wednesday, 30 November at 12 noon
• Wednesday, 7 December at 9 a.m.

The meeting will, among other things, cover:

• The importance of companies embarking on a journey towards more environmentally friendly business practices
• Supporting the organisation on its journey with an effective management system and training for all staff.
• The benefits of being in the Loop
• The contribution of the world's leading companies to sustainability
