Awards for the best Christmas decorations
On St. Thomas's Day, awards were given for the best-decorated houses, best-decorated businesses and the best-decorated street in Hafnarfjörður, which actually houses small boats rather than houses.

On St. Lucia's Day, awards were given for the best-decorated houses, best-decorated businesses and the best-decorated street in Hafnarfjörður, which actually houses small boats rather than houses. At the beginning of December, residents of Hafnarfjörður and other interested parties were encouraged to put on their big Christmas glasses and submit a tip about the houses, businesses and streets in Hafnarfjörður that they think stand out in this year's Christmas decorations.
The Culture and Tourism Committee presented residents and business owners with certificates and trees from the Hafnarfjörður Forestry Service in the Christmas Village on St. Lucia's Eve, with the selection made by the committee.

Awarded for a beautifully decorated house in the North End, where the lighting is in good harmony with the house.

Awarded for a beautifully decorated house, where the red-lit trees in the garden give the street a lovely Christmas feel.

Awarded for a beautifully decorated house in Áslandið, where the house's outline is well showcased by the Christmas lights.

Flensburg Harbour
Acknowledgement for the beautifully decorated boats moored at Flensburg Harbour, which provide a very festive sight over both the harbour and the Harbour Fort. A really great addition to all the decorations in the town this year.
