175 parking spaces at Tjarnarvellir 9-13 closed off and temporarily leased

The City of Hafnarfjörður and Icelandair ehf. have entered into a lease agreement for 175 parking spaces at Tjarnarvellir 9-13 in Hafnarfjörður. The agreement has already come into effect. Owners of all vehicles in the aforementioned car park are kindly requested to remove them as soon as possible to prevent them from being locked in. Construction work on a fence and a controlled-access gate has commenced.

The City of Hafnarfjörður and Icelandair ehf. have entered into a lease agreement for 175 parking spaces at Tjarnarvellir 9-13 in Hafnarfjörður. The lease agreement is for a period of 12 months, with the option to extend for a further 12 months. A declaration of extension must be submitted no later than 1 March 2024.

The lease agreement has come into effect and construction has begun.

The Tenant is permitted to fence off the leased car parks with a temporary fence and to install access-controlled gates. The Lessee accepts the Premises in its current condition and shall, at its own expense, remove the fence, access-controlled gate, security cameras and other similar equipment at the appropriate time. All operation of the Premises, such as snow clearance, lighting and cleaning, shall be at the Lessee's expense.

All unauthorised equipment and vehicles must be removed from the site.

Owners of all vehicles in the car parks at Tjarnarvelli 9-13 are kindly requested to remove them as soon as possible to prevent them from being locked in. A number of vehicles, recreational vehicles and trailers are in the area. Work has begun on the installation of a temporary fence and a controlled access gate.
