Agreement reached and strikes called off – swimming pools open at 12 today
Strike action by members of BSRB's affiliated unions has been called off. This includes the strike by staff in the customer service and swimming pools of Hafnarfjörður Municipality. Operations at these facilities will resume as normal. The swimming pools open at 12 noon today and the customer service centre at 8 a.m. on Monday.
Eleven BSRB member associations and the Association of Icelandic Municipalities signed a new collective agreement at around eight o'clock this morning. Strike action by 2,500 members of BSRB's affiliated associations in thirty municipalities has been called off. This includes strikes by members of the Hafnarfjörður Staff Association and staff in the customer service and swimming pools of the Borough of Hafnarfjörður. Operations at these sites will resume according to normal opening hours. The swimming pools will open at 12 noon today, and the customer service centre at 8 a.m. on Monday.

Hafnarfjörður's swimming pools open today, Saturday 10th June at 12 noon, in accordance with their usual opening hours. The Suðurbær and Ásvallalaug pools are open until 6 p.m. today. The Hafnarfjörður Swimming Pool will open as usual at 6:30 a.m. on Monday morning. Entry is free for children aged 17 and under at all Hafnarfjörður swimming pools.
