Singing Festival at Hafnarborg will be held for the seventh time on 18 June–2 July 2023. The festival is dedicated to classical music, poetry, opera and choral singing, but this year's theme for the Song Festival is „The blessed sun loves everything“. The festival aims to honour classical vocal music and to increase public awareness of the art of the voice through concerts and courses.

This year's Song Festival at Hafnarborg will feature eight concerts with outstanding singers and musicians, as well as a variety of courses for children and adults, for amateurs and professionals alike. The founders and directors of the Song Festival are mezzo-soprano Guðrún Jóhanna Ólafsdóttir and guitarist Francisco Javier Jáuregui.
