The Hafnarfjörður Town Council approved at its meeting on 21 June. to advertise an amendment to the Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður 2013–2025 in accordance with section 31, and an amendment to the detailed plan in accordance with section 43, paragraph 1 of the Planning Act No. 123/2010.
Amendment to the Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður 2013-2025, IB6
On 30 November 2018, an amendment was made to the Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður (IB6), which stated in its text that the existing building at 44 Suðurgata would be given a new function, while its appearance would largely be retained. In this amendment, which is now being published for consultation, the provision concerning the appearance and function of Suðurgata is being removed.
Change to the detailed plan for Suðurgata – Hamarsbraut, concerning 44 Suðurgata
The change consists of demolishing the existing houses on the plot and replacing them with three new houses containing 15 flats of various sizes. At the southern and northern ends of the plot are two-storey detached houses, while in the centre there will be a two-to-three-storey, L-shaped cluster house. The plans provide for 17 parking spaces in a garage and 4 on the plot.
