The body! Bodies! All kinds of bodies! Health! When people lose their health and the body becomes ill, it gives a new perspective on life. What's wrong? Where do I belong? Who am I now? I am strong and I am getting better. You are rising from the ashes. Reborn.
After experiencing a health loss, I noticed how strong my body was. Both during my illness and afterwards. During my rehabilitation, I started painting again. This is my meditation. The first thing I wanted to paint were bodies. Women and men. All sorts of bodies together and intertwined. Black and white with pink and golden threads. Faceless bodies. Strong bodies. Reborn.
