The Planning and Building Committee of Hafnarfjörður approved at its meeting on 2 November to publicly present a proposal for a detailed plan for Gráhelluhraun. This is a preliminary announcement, not a formal advertisement of a completed detailed plan. Individuals, organisations and other interested parties are invited to submit comments on the draft local plan. These must be received in writing by 21 December 2023 at the following email address: skipulag@hafnarfjordur.is. At the pre-application stage, feedback is not responded to but is taken into consideration when finalising the draft outline plan, which will then be advertised.
All comments on a formally advertised proposal must be answered in writing.

Information meeting for Gráhelluhraun – a woodland park in the hinterland of Hafnarfjörður
A public information meeting is scheduled for Thursday, 23 November at 17:00 in the Pharmacy at Hafnarborg, Strandgata 34 (entrance from Strandgata), where the planner will present the key proposals and scope of the detailed plan. At the meeting, residents and other interested parties will have the opportunity to review the proposal, speak with the planner and provide their feedback before the proposal goes into the formal public consultation process.
