The Library, the Folk Museum and Hafnarborg are opening their doors late into the evening and offering an entertaining programme on Museum Night on Friday, 2nd February from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Entry to all Winter Festival events is free.
Hafnarfjörður Library
- 18:00 – Children's concert with Little Maja the Strawberry.
- 18:00-21:00 – Magic Symbol Workshop with Otilia Martin.
- Presentations on the work of the museum, audio tour, open in the party corner, presentation of the equipment.
Hafnarfjörður Museum of Local History
- 6 pm - 10 pm – Pakkhúsið, Sívertsens-hús and Beggubúð open.
- 6 pm - 10 pm – Treasure hunt for children.
- 18:00–22:00 – Annríki exhibits bathhouse works at the Sívertsens House.
- 19:30 – Dagrún Ósk Jónsdóttir, folklorist, will give the lecture „The Moon and the Darkness in Icelandic Folklore“.
- 20:45 – The Klassík ensemble performs Icelandic and international music.
Port city
- 18:00-22:00 – ongoing exhibitions: Flow measurement by Jónína Guðnadóttir and References by Thor Sigurthorsson.
- 18:00 – Evening Tones on Museum Night: Hallur Guðmundsson Trio – Tango for One.
- 19:30 – Nidra meditation, in connection with the exhibition by Þór Sigurþórsson., Reference, A guided meditation with a yoga teacher will be offered, focusing on grounding, time and inner calm. The event is suitable for guests of all ages.
- 20:30 – Aldís Arnardóttir, Director of Hafnarborg, will guide guests through the current exhibitions., Flow measurement and Reference.
