Saturday 2 March, 1 pm–3 pm will Iryna Kamienieva, an artist and curator, will lead a creative art workshop for families in Ukrainian at Hafnarborg. In the workshop, children and adults will be invited to create colourful and fun sculptures from a variety of materials. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore the museum's exhibitions to find ideas for their own artwork.
Iryna Kamienieva is an artist and curator from Ukraine. She has been based in Iceland since 2022, where she has worked in both the art scene and in refugee reception.
In My Language is a programme of events that aims to increase access to Hafnarborg for people from diverse backgrounds by welcoming visitors in different languages. The event is a collaboration between Hafnarborg and the charity GETU. The project is supported by the museum fund.
