Krysztof J. Szymanski, known as Kris to friends and family, is an artist who has found a new home here. He was born in Poland where he grew up and lived until he moved to Canada with his cousin as a teenager. He has worked as a radio DJ, but is trained as an architect and worked in that field for many years.
Today he lives in Hafnarfjörður and works as a support for his friend. Throughout his life, art has accompanied him in many forms. His works are therefore numerous and varied: a model ship made from ice lollies, origami, paintings, kusudama,
mandalas and not least his latest paintings. The exhibition offers an insight into new dimensions where entire worlds, characters and stories are created from things we know in reality.
