Ideas are sought for the programme for the Bright Days in June.
Bjartir dagar is a cultural festival that reflects all the diverse cultural activities taking place in Hafnarfjörður, organised by institutions, voluntary associations, businesses and individuals. During Bjartir dagar, numerous people take part in creating events all over the town. It can be something that is already established or something completely new, something large-scale or on a smaller scale, something for children or something for adults, but in any case, something interesting that encourages residents to take an active part and enjoy quality time together.
Microgrants
To support initiative projects, a portion of the Bright Days budget, up to one million, will be allocated to various projects taking place during Bright Days. Institutions, non-governmental organisations, businesses and individuals can apply for funding for projects taking place in June. Applications for funding should be sent to the project manager of Bright Days at menning@hafnarfjordur.is by 23 April and the allocation will be completed by 1 May. The allocation will take into account Regulations of the Culture and Tourism Committee of Hafnarfjörður on grants for cultural activities.
