On Sunday 11 October from 1 pm to 3 pm, Hafnarborg and GETA are hosting a multilingual storytelling workshop where participants will create characters and tell…
Wednesday, 5th June at 8 p.m. will Stefán Pálsson, a historian, will lead the first cultural and health walk of the summer, walking around Vellina in Hafnarfjörður, one of the youngest neighbourhoods in the capital region. However, it has a past and there are various connections to be found there with the industrial history of the nation. Questions will also be raised about how young a neighbourhood can be for it to be considered to have a history.
The walk will start from Hraunvallaskóli.
The City of Hafnarfjörður is offering cultural and health walks every Wednesday evening this summer. Most of the walks take about an hour and start at 8 p.m., unless otherwise stated. The Cultural and Health Walks are a joint project by Hafnarborg, the Hafnarfjörður Folk Museum, the Hafnarfjörður Library and Healthy Hafnarfjörður. Participation is free and everyone is welcome.
