Tuesday, 3 September at 12 The lunchtime concerts at Hafnarborg will resume, but at this first concert of the season, there will be Fanny Lísa Hevesi guest Antonia Hevesi, pianist and artistic director of the concert series. The mother and daughter duo will then perform operatic songs from musicals and various pieces with an operatic or operatically-related theme. The title of the concert this time is „In Between – In the Grey Area“.

Fanny Lísa Hevesi is a recent graduate of the Performance Preparation Academy (PPA) with a BA degree in Musical Theatre. The school is based in Guildford and is one of the UK's leading institutions for such a course, having been established for around twenty years. While at the academy, Fanný played many different characters, such as Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar and Dominu in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.Before she was in PPA, she was a student on the Full-Time Foundation Course at ArtsEd, one of England's most prestigious arts universities, from which she graduated in 2021.

In Iceland, Fanný studied singing at the Sigurður Demetz School of Singing and performed roles such as Fiola in Nine to five and Heiði Chandler in Heathers. She graduated with a postgraduate diploma in classical singing under the tutelage of Sigrún Hjálmtýsdóttir, but prior to this she studied musical theatre singing with Valgerður Guðnadóttir and Þór Breiðfjörð. Other productions that Fanný has taken part in include The Cardamom Village at the National Theatre (performances were cancelled due to Covid), Cabaret and Clunk clunk and ding-ding by the Akureyri Theatre Society, Phantom of the Opera by Sinfonia Nord at Harpa, The Magic Flute for children and The adventure opera Baldursbrá, as well as being a member of the children's choir of the Icelandic Opera in its production of Carmen and The Bohemian Life in Harpa.

Antonia Hevesi, a pianist, has been the artistic director of the lunchtime concerts at Hafnarborg since their inception, and they have been a regular feature of the museum's programme since 2003. There, Antonía has been joined by many of the country's leading singers, with the aim of the concerts being to give visitors the opportunity to enjoy live music at their leisure. The lunchtime concerts are usually held on the first Tuesday of each month during the winter season.

The concert starts at 12 noon and will last for about half an hour. The venue opens at 11:30 am and the concert is open to all, subject to capacity. Admission is free.
