Pink Day is on Wednesday, 23rd October.
On Pink Day, which this year is held on Wednesday, 23rd October, everyone across the country is encouraged to go pink – for all of us. Wear a pink ribbon, dress in pink and brighten up the short days with a pink glow, so that all women diagnosed with cancer can feel our support and solidarity. Pink October is the annual awareness campaign dedicated to the fight against cancers in women. This year, the Cancer Society is focusing on carers under the slogan „You change everything”, giving thanks to those who neither expect nor ask for it: the people who are so important but often forgotten – the carers. In Iceland, an average of 971 women are diagnosed with cancer each year.
