Particular attention is drawn to the fact that ice driving and all traffic from motorbikes and cars is prohibited on the lake, and has been since 2006.

Volunteers from the club have been instrumental in the development of the sport of cross-country skiing within the town and deserve a great deal of credit for this. A large number of residents in the capital region take up cross-country skiing when the weather is suitable, as it is an activity suitable for all ages.
