HEIMA takes place on the last day of winter, as always – 23rd April in the centre of Hafnarfjörður.

The HEIMA festival has firmly established itself as a fun and unique music festival, offering a different experience and a greater sense of intimacy than concert-goers and artists are generally used to.

The performers at HEIMA this year are:
Coke
Celebrities
Surf break
Páll Óskar
Gissur Páll
Hafdís Huld
Axel Flóvent
Ólöf Arnalds
Space station
Sigga and Grétar
Teitur Magnússon
Dora and the Dates
Eiki Hauks and Sigurgeir Sigmunds

As before, residents of Hafnarfjörður will open their homes in the town centre, and in each house, two different artists or bands will play. The Free Church in Hafnarfjörður will be one of the HEIMA – houses, as in previous years, and the festival will also use the stage at the Bæjarbíó, reflecting the festival's diversity – all sorts of venues and all sorts of music.

There are thirteen artists this year, and they all perform twice at their respective HOME house in the city centre. They are not all playing at the same time, so those who are most diligent about wandering between houses will see the most performances.

The festival starts at Ægi Brewery at 2 p.m., where wristbands and printed programmes will be handed out. There will be various fun activities and visual art (Rokk á flakki), and the bar will be open with tastings of Ægi's specially brewed HEIMA beer.

The first HEIMA concerts begin at 19:30 in the Free Church, following the formal opening, and the last ones finish at around 23:00.

There are two late-night screenings at the Town Cinema this time, with the programme starting at 23:15 and lasting for approximately one hour.

From midnight, an after-party starts at ÆGI, where DJ Andrea Jóns will get people dancing late into the night.

HEIMA is a music festival that offers intimacy between performers and guests, as well as a diverse range of music for all kinds of people of all ages.

The best friends of HEIMA are the City of Hafnarfjörður, Bæjarbíó, Ægir Brewery and Rás 2.
